Each year Limerick Civic Trust has to fundraise in excess of €100,000.
This is a daunting task based upon the core net income from our
membership subscriptions, our golf classic and our Greyhound Benefit
meeting. In addition we run smaller events like race nights, a
poker party, the Red Box Party (variety entertainment night), a Limerick knowledge table quiz and
so on.
The Greyhound Benefit meeting
This takes place at the Limerick Greyhound Racing Stadium each March.
It is our night when the Trust goes to the dogs in every sense!
It’s a social night as well as a source for significant income
through race sponsorships, greyhound and advertisement sponsors,
programme and entry ticket sales.
The Golf Classic
The Limerick Civic Trust Golf Classic takes place at Limerick
Golf Club each Summer. Teams of four
playing Betterball Stableford is the competition for which the first
10 teams receive valuable prizes. It is regarded as one of the best
classics on the Golfing calendar. The cost to enter a team of four is €500 which includes a meal for each player and the sponsor. Alternatively one could sponsor a hole for €250
