This cabinet is dedicated to June in appreciation of her generosity and friendship. Like her father, June was an only child who grew up in England. She spent her young adult life in Hamburg and Singapore. June then went to Australia to become personal secretary and Lady-in-waiting to Lady Slim, wife of the Governor General of Australia. She returned to England in 1957 and married James P. Robertson, an army officer who was to become a Major in the British Army. Jimmy fought in World War 2 in the Middle East, in the relief of Arnhem and in the liberation of Brussels. After he retired from the Army in 1964 they trained as mature students and took up teaching in the local school. Jimmy died in 2000. On the 8th November 2002 June was the guest of honour at the formal opening of The Carrol Collection Exhibition.
Pride of place in this cabinet is a sketch of June by Pat Saunders, crayon on paper. There is a painting of an unknown relative, the family Bible and some family heirlooms. Photographs of Lissenhall taken in 1902 show the splendour of this mansion which is now a ruin as the final photo portrays. An old pot and a redbrick were found in the ruin in 2002. A very unusual item is a glass chalice belonging to The Scott Family.
